This is written on behalf of my mom Allison Ho. In April 2024, my mom started having pains which went on for months. She explored many doctor appointments and finally ended up in OBGYN in December 2024. Surgery #1 - Laparoscopy found that there were two fibroid cysts. Surgery #2 - Removal of cysts and cysts were found cancerous (ovarian cancer). Multiple therapies were started and money blow fast. Insurance only covered some of the many bills that came rolling in. Thinking we were on the plan of attack. Unfortunately, the cancer came back worse. Surgery #3 - Partial bowel obstruction and bowel resection. An ostomy bag was placed and now we have to do chemo, immunotherapy drugs, and integrative treatments. We are financially spent and in dire of help. Any amount helps and is very much appreciated. Both of my parents are teachers that work for LAUSD. They support me in everything I do. My mom is a self-starter, and a go-getter, and can handle many tasks at once with great efficiency. My mom had time to service her students on and off school hours. At home my mom has the energy to grade student papers and planning for the week, service our family, and service my needs as a travel softball player. My mom happily took me to all my batting, pitching, team practices, and games without complaining. Fast forwarding to now everything has changed. Thanks to my dad and my softball family for supporting my mom in her time of need. My now mom has to rely on others to support her every need. My mom is withering away. We need spiritual, physical, and financial support. We also need the support of friends, family, and strangers. My mom needs your love and support. Any and everything helps. Thank you so much.
