Morning UPDATE: Today 11/20/2024 Jerry is currently in remission YAY! Sorry I haven't given an update in a while we ran into some complications when Jerry had his 5th treatment done, he is now on the road to recovery and building his strength everyday. I want to thank everyone for their support it means the world to Jerry, he is a fighter and he will continue to fight and become better than ever. UPDATE: Today 9/20/23 is Jerry’s 4th treatment so far all treatments have gone well. The 3rd treatment was a little harder than the others but we were told that is to be expected so we adjusted accordingly. He also had a PET Scan done last week, he will get the results today after chemotherapy, let’s all keep our fingers crossed that chemo is doing a good and his tumors are smaller or close to being gone let’s speak it into existence We truly appreciate all the donations as Jerry will be out of work for at least a year and it has helped a lot! Please keep him in your prayers and continue to call text or video chat him the support has been tremendous and we appreciate every single thing! UPDATE: Yesterday 8/9/23 was Jerry’s second treatment, it went well and he is resting. I will do my best to keep everyone updated. Thank you for you prayers and support, he will overcome and be victorious. UPDATE: Today 7/19/23 was his first chemo treatment. Everything went well, he had no reactions and played trivia and even ate a cheese burger. Shout out to his sons Anthony & Jasiah for being by his side the whole time. He is home and is in good spirits and chatting with the family. Thank you everyone for your love, support and prayers. Hello Everyone – my name is Marisa Valdovinos and I have received many emails and/or messages on how we all can help Jerry and his family during this difficult time, there is no better way than to alleviate stress and monetary strain. Our dear friend, father and coach was recently diagnosed with a form of Lymphoma called large B-Cell Lymphoma. This type of Lymphoma is a quickly developing and aggressive blood cancer and has required equally quick and aggressive treatments in the past three months he has had numerous dr visits, scans, and a biopsy and has more appointments to go but on top of all that he will have to undergo chemotherapy. This is going to be the fight of his life and as many know Jerry is a fighter, he will not give up nor will he quit. Unfortunately during this time he is not able to work, Tonya and the family have also missed work and will miss much more in time coming, he will have medical expenses now and in the future and bills still need to get paid, I am asking and hoping that all the people he has devoted himself to, touched and loved, coached and supported can come together to relieve him and his family of this stress. Jerry has been quite the pillar in his community, his love for people, sports and his talents has led him down the path to always help and teach others. His heart is unmatched. Jerry has donated his time for years and years without pay, when he would see a kid on the field or court needing shoes or equipment, without hesitation, he bought shoes, gloves, helmets, balls and food for anyone he could. Jerry has played a huge part in my life, as he has many others, he has helped me in my time of need and made great memories for me but more importantly my kids, and for that I am forever grateful. Please help me in surrounding Jerry with the same love and devotion he shares with everyone by allowing him and his family to focus on his strengths where it matters, which is his health!! These funds will help with his medical costs, equipment, anything upcoming, chemotherapy, counseling, any special needs, and the extended time off work. Thank you in advance and keep the prayer train going!
