***Update- This fund will help with Kyle’s medical expenses and bills. We are in the process of getting 2nd opinions and are planning on traveling to MD Anderson, U Penn and potentially Northwestern in Chicago and Cleveland Clinic. Hi, my name is Mikki Cheney. I am Kyle LeMarbe's aunt. Mikki Cheney and Rachel Bryce are raising money to help Kyle pay for his bills and expenses after having been diagnosed with brain cancer. Kyle's journey started back in April 2024 with symptoms that were causing him to not feel well and gave him severe anxiety. He was having headaches and nausea. After seeing his primary doctor, he had his vision tested and the optometrist sent him to urgent care. He was diagnosed with a brain mass on the right side of his brain and he was transported to U of M hospital in Ann Arbor where he went through a series of tests including a CT scan and a MRI. The test result came back that he had a large, malignant, very aggressive brain tumor. On May 24, Kyle had a craniotomy and 95% of the tumor was removed. The other portion was not able to be removed because of the danger it posed. This particular brain tumor is called an astrocytoma. Starting on July 6, 2024, Kyle started chemo, radiation and a clinical trial to get rid of the rest of the tumor. Kyle and his mom have been traveling to and from Ann Arbor for 6 weeks. Kyle and his mom have been out of work since May 12, 2024. The donations we are asking for will help Kyle pay for his bills including his car, car repairs/maintenance and gas money. It will also help him pay for any medical expenses that are not paid by insurance. We are unsure when Kyle will be able to return to work. He is currently living mostly with his mom. His plan was to move in with his girlfriend, Adia, until this diagnosis changed his plan. He is not comfortable asking for help but we think this money will somewhat ease his stress. Thank you!
