Taylor Bryant was involved in a hit-and-run accident on July 2, 2024 at Lake McConaughey, Nebraska. She was riding as a passenger on a jet ski when another ski collided with them at full speed and ran her over from the right side. The impact knocked taylor off and she was tossed around under the water. When she surfaced, she knew right away that she had been critically hurt and was profusely bleeding. Unfortunately, the other jet ski rider fled as soon as he realized she was injured, and authorities have not been able to locate them. Taylor was rushed to Ogallala Community Hospital by ambulance, where they placed multiple sutures on a wound to stop her bleeding. Soon after, she was transferred 54 miles away to Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska. She spent a few days in ICU here, before being discharged on July 5 to travel back home to Denver. On July 7, she was still worried about her injuries so she went to the ER at UC Health Highlands Ranch Hospital, where after more tests and scans the decision was made to go into surgery that night to fix what the previous hospitals had not. She spent many arduous days in the ICU at UCH Highlands Ranch, finally going home on July 11th. She now has a continuous home health nurse 3x/week, numerous doctor follow-ups with the surgeon, and a wound care doctor that she has to see periodically. In addition to the insurmountable medical costs that are starting to pile up, Taylor has not been able to return to work, which is applying a ton of pressure on her and her boyfriend, Thomas, financially. Thomas has also missed a significant amount of work helping take care of Taylor, adding to the financial burden. This accident was very traumatic both physically and mentally for Taylor, as she has a long and painful road to recovery ahead of her. Anything you can do to help is appreciated, as Taylor does not know how she will overcome the deficits this has caused without the ability to hold the other party responsible for their actions (since they were never located). Thank you for any and all contributions.
