Hi my name is Lisa, and I’m fundraising for my beautiful friend Pam. 100% will go to her to support her cancer treatment. When Pam and I met in 2024, I knew I wanted to be her friend. We became close friends when she joined Trail Sisters in 2024 and the rest is history. We have hiked hundreds of hours and hundreds of miles together. She has the biggest smile and earned the trail name "Ambassador" because she has a beautiful gift. She can talk to and shows compassion for anyone and everyone!!! She is the most amazing friend, wife, mother, sister, and Grandma. She is a beautiful person with a beautiful family. Pam’s life changed dramatically when she was recently diagnosed with the most advanced type of a rare cancer: stage 3a Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells. As a result, her many friends and I realized that Pam needed help from our community. The recommended treatment for Pam is expected to last a year and include chemotherapy, targeted drug therapy and if all goes well, a stem cell transplant at MD Anderson. Funds raised will be used to offset medical expenses, including the high cost of one of Pam’s most important drugs with a co-pay of $3,304 monthly!
