Dear friends, family, and compassionate individuals, Some of you may already be aware of the recent challenges faced by the Jacobs family. On May 15, 2024, at the young age of 49, Dustin Jacobs experienced a severe heart attack and was immediately rushed to Westside Hospital hospital in Plantation, Florida . Thanks to the quick response of the doctors and staff, Dustin's life was saved through the placement of two stents in his heart. However, this was a temporary measure, and on July 3, 2024, he underwent quintuple bypass surgery, a major invasive procedure. Currently, Dustin is in the hospital, beginning the process of recovery from this extensive operation. During quintuple bypass surgery, the surgeon creates new pathways for blood to bypass the blocked or narrowed arteries. This was achieved by using Dustin’s healthy blood vessels harvested from his leg and his chest. The blood vessels from his leg were grated onto the heart, bypassing the blockages and restoring the proper blood flow to the heart muscle. He had five grafts performed, bypassing five different blocked coronary arteries. The road ahead is long, and the journey to full health will require time and support. Meanwhile, Stacee and Dustin have worked tirelessly to build their landscaping business. Stacee now carries the immense responsibility of managing their clients, ensuring the business continues to thrive, and being there for Dustin during his recovery. It is an overwhelming burden for any family to bear. Dustin's minimum recovery time is estimated to be eight weeks, during which he is unable to work for their landscaping business. Stacee will be juggling the needs of their family, the demands of the business, the mounting bills, and supporting Dustin on his path to recovery. No family should have to face such difficult choices. Stacee and Dustin are the kind of people who would be there for anyone in their time of need. However, it is not easy for them to ask for help, despite the fact that they truly need it.
