My best friend, Dawn is once again, fighting cancer and unfortunately, this time is at stage 4 metastatic adenocarcinoma; which means is terminal! But I have hope, so does she, and a hell of a lot of strength and will to fight this disease. A little backstory: she has been having a lot of hip and lower back pain since March. She has gone to the doctor and was sent to physical therapy which did not help of course. On July 13 she ended up in the ER due to being unable to walk and in excruciating pain. After an MRI and CT scan it showed that she has extensive metastatic disease throughout her body.. upper and lower spine, whole right hip, continued disease through out the shoulder, scapula, and collarbone. Chemo started this evening, in hopes to stop the spread and give her more time with her children and family. Treatment plan: Radiation complete! Chemo: the goal is to get to Sacituzumab Govitecan, which is the appropriate treatment for metastatic triple negative breast cancer. But in order to be approved for it, she hast to complete treatment with Xeloda Chemotherapy, then Enhertu Chemotherapy first. Many of you reached out and asked how you can help. Here is the link to a Go fund me page that hopefully will help with some of her expenses. Thank you all for your support!
