To know Will is to love Will. I have had the privilege of knowing Will for 18 years. He is an extraordinary man with a heart full of kindness, an unwavering spirit, always the first to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or brighten your day with his infectious laugh. He is a big kid at heart and you always have a good time when he is around. This fellow has always been the epitome of strength. Need your refrigerator moved? No problem! Got a couch in the way? Done! Need security for your business or birthday parties? He’s got you! But, sometimes even the strongest people need assistance. Right now, Will needs us to do the heavy lifting for him. On June 25th he suffered an unexpected injury while playing basketball. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital. After having two different MRIs he was diagnosed with ruptured quadriceps tendons in both of his legs. For my non-medical savvy friends that is the tendon that connects your thigh muscle to your knee. He is now unable to walk or stand. He has to keep braces on his legs 24/7 to keep his legs straight. He can transfer from the bed to a wheelchair, with assistance, but that is it. After spending 4 days in the hospital (two of those spent in the hallway of the ER) he was discharged. To allow time for the swelling to go down the Orthopedic Surgeon scheduled his surgery for July 7th. After Surgery Will still faces a long road to recovery. He won’t be able to walk or stand for several months. He will have to undergo intense physical therapy to regain his strength. His estimated recovery time is 4 months. The cost of medical treatments, hospital stays, and rehabilitation can be overwhelming, both emotionally and financially. Will’s injury has left him unable to work, further exacerbating the financial strain he faces. Despite the hardships he has endured, Will remains resilient and determined to regain his independence. I set up this LFEBridge to try and help alleviate some of this stress for him. Any and all contributions will be deposited directly into his bank account. If you are unable to contribute financially sharing this go fund me to help spread the word is greatly appreciated! Lets all come together and do the heavy lifting for our strong friend in need!
