Hi, my name is Tabitha Price and I am doing something very hard for me. I am letting the world into my innermost fears and showing vulnerability. On Wednesday, July 26, 2024, while at work grilling for the employees with birthdays in July at Columbus Orthopedic, my husband, Frederick (Tony) Price began to feel delirious. He thought it was due to the extreme heat so he went home and rested once he was done. He returned to work but by Friday he wasn't feeling better and began to have slurred speech. We went to Baptist Hospital where he had a CT Scan without contrast. His blood pressure was 214/107. He was given blood pressure medicine and his blood pressure went down to 197/98; he was sent home and told to follow up with his primary care physician. He rested Saturday but by the end of the day he wasn't feeling better. On Sunday at 8:00 am we went to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS and they admitted him, ran a MRI and CT Scan with contrast and discovered he had suffered from a Stroke earlier in the week. He was just released from the hospital with a heart monitor. The stroke affected his left side, speech and his ability to swallow. He has to do cardiac therapy and follow up with his primary care physician to set up physical and speech therapy. He will have to be seen by a Cardiologist, Neurologist and Endocrinologist. This has been devastating as Tony is the rock of our family and the primary provider. We have two children in College, three in High School and one in Middle School. Tony is a Cast Technician at Columbus Orthopedic so he has helped people in the same position that he is in now. We do not know when he will return to his full strength or how long the recovery process will be but we trust God that he will be back to "Tony" again soon. I am asking you to find it in your heart to donate to my family as we are forced to survive on one income and are now incurring additional medical bills and expenses. Tony is a true man of God, he's a wonderful Husband and Father and he has given his last to help others. There is no one more deserving of what he has put out in the community. Any amount you give is appreciated. Thank you in advance for planting into my husband's recovery journey.
