The Alvarez family is in California to be with Al as he faces two brain surgeries. The surgeries are planned to take place one week apart. The family appreciates your support so much! The many prayers for successful surgeries and smooth recoveries, the cards, texts, calls, food, and gifts have meant a lot. Another way to support them is financially to help minimize the impact of their time in California. Below is a full description of the journey they have been on for several months that has led up to this. Al's Moyamoya Journey His journey began with his TBI doctor in the beginning of 2024. After MRI, CT scan, angiogram, Neurologist, neurosurgeon, he was diagnosed with Moyamoya Disease- a disease that affects bloodflow to the brain. Images were sent off to Stanford Moyamoya Clinic. In mid-June, Stanford decided that both sides of Al's brain would need surgery. We both had so much peace as He has shown his hand in every step of the way! Al had his first surgery on July 12 and the second surgery is on July 19. Please join us in prayer over Al and the surgeons as he continues his journey.
