Hi friends and family. A couple of months ago Chad posted on facebook trying to raise money for parents whose children are battling cancer. We could have never imagined that in such a short time, we would become one of those parents. For those that haven’t already heard, our sweet boy Easton has been diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As you can imagine this was devastating news for our family and caught us completely off guard. We have since been relocated to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN to immediately begin Easton’s treatment. While this is obviously a terrifying situation, we have been comforted by the St Jude team’s optimism that Easton will make a full recovery. The amazing program here covers all the expenses for Easton's initial treatment, food and housing, however, this is going to be a years-long journey, and though we consider ourselves very fortunate, there's no way to know what our needs may be in the coming years. For the next few months, any donations would go towards comfort items like clothes, toys, stuff for mom and dad, fun activities and outside food. Once we return home, donations would be put towards travel as we trek to Huntsville for weekly appointments. Since we don't yet know what to expect, there is no way to know what amount to ask for. We've chosen the arbitrary amount of $10,000 and any money raised that we don't use during this journey will be gratefully donated back to St. Jude's to pay it forward and help the next family in need.
