Despite being knocked down from a sexual assault, I fought to stand up again. I'm committed to advocating for myself and others, aiming to prevent another woman from enduring the pain and trauma I'm living with. These predators are still on the job, and I can't tackle this alone—I need your help. No one should ever have to suffer a violation at the hands of those you work with. Both my supervisor and the company trainer abused their positions, stripping away my right to decide who I allow to touch my body, violating me, and causing me to suffer a mental breakdown. I've been incapacitated for over two years, undergoing professional treatment and unable to work. I simply wanted to work, provide for my family, and not be violated. The loss of my income has strained my family financially and my husband has fallen ill and does not get paid when he can't work. When I reported the trainer's sexual harassment I faced retaliation and was forced to continue to work alongside him. Without job protection, the trainer sexually assaulted me, prompting police involvement once again. In response, the company transferred me to work under a supervisor with a history of sexual misconduct. Shortly after arriving he also preyed on me, changed my work schedule, removed me from my route and confined me to the station, where he caught me off guard by inappropriately groping my body. My attorney is pursuing a lawsuit against the company for violating its policy, as they were aware of the history of sexual misconduct by both individuals but didn’t implement adequate measures to ensure a safe work environment. Not adhering to their own policy resulted in repeated victimization of myself and others. The company’s unlawful protection of predators in the workplace and the perpetuation of an abusive environment have caused me tremendous pain and suffering, resulting in me having a permanent disability and unable to return to work. These violations have robbed me of my smile, deprived me of life's joys, led to isolation, and inflicted mental, physical and emotional harm upon me. It has also hindered my ability to help others, particularly the homeless community, disrupting the reliability and dependability they had come to expect. Something I enjoyed doing. My husband and I have exhausted all options before resorting to this campaign and we need your help. The funds raised will help cover household expenses and pay for my ongoing legal proceedings for justice as I continue my medical treatment to heal from these traumatic experiences.
