You may know him as Spunk, Mickey Allan, Maxx Black, Johnny Calgon, Maxx Crane, The Clifton Kid, The Caldwell Kid, Mr. Bojangles, Your Sunday Night Toy, or just Mike Engle. You may have seen him play in one of the thousands of gigs he’s played across the state or at your favorite local pizzeria, Tony D’s. Wherever you had a sighting, Mike was sure to brighten your day somehow. After decades of giving to the world through his musical talent and pizza making abilities, he needs some help from us. Mike has had issues with his shoulder going back to a shoulder replacement about 15 years ago. After a couple of accidents and constant use, his shoulder is in constant daily pain. He has been unable to work at the pizzeria or fulfill most of his musical obligations. He fortunately is being treated with medications and awaits a possible shoulder surgery. In the meantime, he won’t be able to play gigs at his usual pace or make pizza at Tony D’s. If you have some spare dough to spare, help support one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. All donations will go towards paying Mike’s medical expenses. For all of Mike’s friends, we will be hosting a benefit on Sun August 20th to raise money for Mike.
