My name is Carla, I come to you today with a humble request for support and assistance for my sister Kellie. She is currently facing an incredibly challenging situation, and I am reaching out to our community in hopes of easing her burden. Kellie woke up on May 29th with a severe headache, this headache turned into a level 5 brain aneurysm rupture. Kellie’s surgeon was able to coil the rupture but advised us her chances of survival were grim. Kellie spent 3 1/2 weeks in the neuro ICU on a ventilator and heavily sedated. On week 4 Kellie was stable enough to be weened off the ventilator and off sedation. Kellie has spent the last 2 weeks in rehab and is making progress but she has a long way to go. Due to insurance reasons the rehab will be spending her home next week even though she is not ready. Despite Kellie’s unwavering strength and determination, the cost of medication, medical treatments, and ongoing care has become an overwhelming financial burden for her and our family. I am hoping to alleviate some of the financial strain that Kellie and our family are facing. Any funds raised through this LFEBridge campaign will go directly towards her medical expenses, including doctor visits, specialized treatments, necessary procedures, medication costs and day-to-day living expenses, ensuring she can focus on her recovery without the added worry of financial instability.
