We are creating a go fund me for our good friend heather. In November 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, as you can imagine it’s been so hard for her and her family so we wanted to something for her for the time she has left as she has been given a life expectancy of 18 to 24 months from her diagnosis. People that know heather will know she’s one of a kind and has a heart of gold, for people that don’t know her let me tell you about her! I don’t even know where to start as there’s so many amazing things to say about her, she’s the most amazing best friend I have ever had. She’s caring, thoughtful, loving, she’s one of a kind. Heather is struggling with her diagnosis as you can imagine and even when she’s going through chemo she still holds her head up high and carries on. She’s the most amazing woman we know and we can’t imagine our lives without her. As she has such a short time left we want to make her life special and help to forget about the pain her and her family are experiencing. I could keep going but I’m going to stop here but this is why we are creating a go fund me page for Heather as we would like her to make some more special memories with her family. Below you can read more about Heathers diagnoses and to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer. This has been copied and pasted from her own Facebook page: Just an update from me on my journey and what the future holds . This has come off the back of my last appointment with my new consultant . As much as the operation back in April was a success and has removed some of the tissues /organs that were contaminated with the cancer ,my outcome hasn’t changed . They have told me I have 18months to 2 years left . As much as this is shit ,I’m still lucky to b here. Before my operation I was given an ultimatum to make that if they couldn’t operate I had a choice to make …. quality or Quantity….. I chose quality ! But after several meetings the docs decided to give the Op a go. So that’s 1 positive and it was a success . Still more chemo (8 more rounds starting Monday ) and I will give anything a go as I’ve nothing to loose . All I ask is that u all listen to your body and anything that it isn’t ‘ normal ‘ for your body act on it !! If u look at the symptoms of pancreatic Cancer and read it’s one of the hardest to detect as u only start havin symptoms when it’s progressed ……. I had only 2 symptoms (maybe and only a month or 2 before I went docs ) I have been seen at QE for possible genetic testing if it comes back I have a cancer gene the kids can b tested too . Apart from my uncle I am the only other person who has ever had cancer in our whole family so please dont take things for granted and look after yourselves. We never know when it’s gonna hit us xx love to u all and remember to b grateful for the small things in life and there is always someone worst off ❤️
