After a long fight to the very end, Toa went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christon July 27th, 2024. In the days leading up to his death, Toa was surrounded by family and friends, both in person and through videos to family and friends far away. There was music, laughter, and tears. Toa was surrounded in love, prayer and worship. On behalf of the Lesii family, I am writing this request to help them through this difficult time. There are two ways you can help support the Lesii family: First, and foremost, the family still covets your prayers. There are plans and decisions to be made, and with all of the family and friends that are here to support Toa and his family, we pray that decisions will be easy and everything will come together for a beautiful service in celebration of Toa's life. We pray for Ashley and the kids, Iremiah and Jasmina, that they will find peace and that the kids will understand what is happening, will know how much their father loved them, and will know how much their father was loved by his community. We pray for Toa's extended family, that they will find peace and comfort and for all Toa's family and friends, as well as the many students Toa has had over the years (Tyson Elementary Tribute Video) as they hear about his passing, that they will also find the support that they need, whether it be their parents, another teacher, or their school counselor. Second, the family still needs your financial support. The past year has been full of medical bills and travel expenses for Toa and the family, and for the most part, they have been unable to work because of Toa's health. The family now has medical expenses, funeral expenses, cost of living expenses for Ashley and the kids, and once things are settled, hopefully, Ashley and the kids will be able to find a place of their own, wherever that may be. A few words from the Apostle Paul, from his letter to the Ephesians, Chapter 3, Verses 7-21: “I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to everyone the boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to His eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power, that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
