Matt Gee underwent brain surgery in October 2024. While the family planned for recovery time, Matt’s recovery has proven to be slow. He needed intense physical and occupational therapy taking the family away from their home state. As a result, this required Beth Gee to reside at an extended-stay hotel and accrue meal and travel expenses while Matt received care in the medical facility. Beth had to take a leave of absence from work, which included several months without pay. The family has now exhausted the home health care resources provided by their insurance. Beth and her son are now the sole providers of Matt’s 24/7 care and her son is about to return to college. He continues to show slow progress and therefore, Beth has needed to extend her leave of absence. Matt continues to get stronger, but the healing is very slow. He is unable to walk and still requires a feeding tube and tracheostomy. He has an amazing attitude and is so grateful to be home. They will continue to work hard to reach his goal of walking again. Please consider helping this sweet family during this challenging period of time in their lives. Your generous contributions and thoughtful sharing of this message are greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps and will go a long way in alleviating the financial hardship brought on by these life events.
