Hi, my name is Jason Vickers and I am fundraising for a family in desperate need after the unexpected death of my brother. This fundraiser is for honoring the life of Bill Vickers and Ensuring a Bright Future for the loved ones he leaves behind. Bill Vickers, a 51-year-old husband and father to two adopted children passed away on Sunday, July 9th, 2024. Bill leaves behind the absolute loves of his life, his wife Roberta and two adopted children, 12-year-old Saliyah and 7-year-old Milo. Summary: I am reaching out to the generous hearts of our communities to help us in supporting Bill Vickers' family during this difficult time. Our beloved brother, Bill Vickers, recently passed away, leaving behind his devoted wife and two cherished adopted children. In the wake of this tragic loss, we are launching this LFEBridge campaign to provide financial assistance and emotional support as Roberta, Saliyah, and Milo navigate this challenging period of their lives. His passing has left a void that can never be filled, but together, we can help ease the burden they now face. Brief History: Bill and Roberta met while living in California and were married in 2009. Shortly after, they became legal guardians to Roberta's grandchildren. A responsibility that Bill took on without hesitation. Bill loved his wife unconditionally and assumed a father and provider role to Saliyah and Milo, something the children had never experienced. As Roberta once told me, "Your brother took on the Whole Package". Over the years, Bill became much more than a father and provider to Saliyah and Milo, He became their Dad. Bill was a persistent, loving and guiding force in their life. Affectionately called "Papa" by Saliyah and Milo, Bill devoted his life to his loving wife and children. Although he won't be with them physically anymore, the impact on their lives will be with them forever. Bill and Roberta relocated to Eagle Idaho several years ago, a move they initiated to provide better living arrangements for the children. They enrolled Saliyah and Milo in Shadow Hills Elementary School and quickly integrated into the community. On my last visit there, Bill and Roberta told me, "They had found their home in Eagle Idaho". On the day of the incident, Bill was working his shift as a Department Manager at his Home Depot store in Boise. Bill LOVED working for Home Depot. He had been with the company for many years and often spoke very highly of his work there. After a Sunday morning meeting, Bill suddenly collapsed and sadly despite all efforts was unable to be revived, leaving not only us but his Home Depot family behind as well. It is without a doubt Bill will be missed. Separate Tragedy: Earlier this year, Saliyah and Milo's Biological mother and Roberta's daughter passed away. A separate tragedy the family has been coping with. Bill played a significant role in providing emotional support for his wife who lost her daughter and Saliyah and Milo who lost their mother, a testament to Bill's unwavering strength and compassion he held for his family. Conclusion: The funds raised through this campaign will help Roberta cover immediate expenses, memorial services, and other unforeseen costs that arise during this grieving process. Additionally, a significant portion of the donations will be allocated towards securing the future well-being and education of Bill's two beloved children. By assisting, we honor Bill's memory and his dedication to providing a stable and loving home for his family. Your generous contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant impact on Roberta, Saliyah, and Milo's life during this challenging period. It will help alleviate financial stress and allow them the time and space to heal, grieve, and begin rebuilding their lives. We also kindly request your emotional support and prayers as they navigate the profound loss of their beloved husband and father. I will end this with the way Bill ended every phone call with me...."I love you, Brother" *We understand that not everyone may be able to donate, but we greatly appreciate any efforts to share this campaign and spread awareness.
