As some of you may know, Ron had a medical emergency while on a family vacation in Maui. An event while snorkeling led to the discovery of coronary disease that now requires a quintuple bypass surgery. This, unfortunately, has been further complicated and delayed by a dissection that requires time to heal and reduce bleeding. While Ron is not yet deemed ready for surgery (next angiogram will be in 2-3 weeks from date of posting), we do know the estimated recovery time post-op in Maui will take weeks. This unexpected, extended time in Maui certainly brings forth hardship for the family, both emotionally and financially. We are incredibly appreciative of your prayers, positive thoughts, and if you are able, the family is accepting donations here to help support a number of unexpected expenses including out of pocket medical expenses, extended rental car, additional travel and living expenses in Maui, loss of wages and more. If you don’t know Ron, he is an incredibly thoughtful father, husband, mentor, and beyond. Despite his current condition, he is in good spirits, chatting up sports per usual, and his sarcastic humor remains strong. Above all, we are blessed that Ron has a supportive community of friendship, love and support. Thank you, Maraming salamat, Mahalo.
