10/31 UPDATE: Dawson is spending Halloween at CHOP preparing for his 5th brain surgery tomorrow. His ventricles are 4x the size they should causing severe pressure on his brain. Because of where the tumor was and also the severity of its size, and how long it was there for, his head was used to soaking up that extra CSF he was producing in his head. Since the tumor is gone, his body is not adjusting or used to producing less so it's creating large amounts which the shunt cannot keep up and is malfunctioning. Unfortunately, they won't know until there get in there and what to do. Please pray for Dawson and his doctors for a successful surgery tomorrow. 9/7 UPDATE: Dawson underwent unplanned emergency surgery to repair his malfunctioned shunt. He is awake and in recovery and such a strong little man to have defeated so much in such a short time! Please consider donating as this is not only another physical set back, but also financial set back for his family who has been out of work caring for him, and about to add another family member to their crew any day now! Any little bit helps! Thank you all for your support! Dawson, the cutest little dude, the best 15.5 month old, little brother, and son there is, was diagnosed on Monday, July 17th with a very large brain tumor which has spread to the top of his spinal cord. Today, Tuesday, July 18th Dawson underwent a 12 hour surgical procedure with the neuro team at CHOP to remove the tumor. Dawson and his parents will spend the next several weeks/months at CHOP while he heals and recovers as they move on to the next steps of diagnosing, treating if necessary and ultimately kicking this tumors butt! This is going to require lots of drives to the city and back to take care of their other son Logan as well. In just a few weeks they will also be welcoming Dawson & Logan's baby sister into the world! As you can imagine all of these things accumulated between Dawson's parents being out of work, copays, medical bills, gas, food, etc. are going to add up. We want to make sure that they can focus on Dawson's healing and spending time together and no time spent worrying about bills. Please donate whatever you are able to to help them get through this extreme hardship. If you are unable to donate, please share and pass this page along! Please keep Dawson & his family in your prayers as they navigate this bumpy road ahead of them. #DawsonStrong
