On July 22nd, David lost his wife and the mother of their 5-month-old daughter Luna in a tragic kayaking accident on the Colorado River. Peyton was only 30 yrs old and a full-time mother to Luna, who was born prematurely. David is currently working as a QC Technician with Elam Construction and in light of the recent tragedy, he is no longer able to remain in Grand Junction. With Luna being so young and still so very fragile and slightly behind in development, David and his family had a very difficult decision to make. They felt that it is in David and Luna's best interest to move to Georgia to be closer to family. Luna will need to be with someone who can provide her with the support and attention she needs as she continues to develop and David will need to get back to work to help provide for both of their needs. Moving so abruptly after a traumatic event can pose to be a challenge not just physically and mentally but financially as well. We are asking for your help in relieving some of this financial burden off of David and his family while they grieve the loss of their loved one and make the decision to uproot the life they had started here. It is going to take some time for David to get situated and find a new "normal". Your donation will help him find time to focus on healing and moving forward as well as to be able to provide Luna with the tools she will need to develop at the same rate as others her age. The loss of a loved one is never easy but to lose a wife and a mother at such a young age is something no one should have to handle alone. Let's show him that he is, in fact, not alone and donate what you can. Our thoughts and prayers are with David and Luna ~
