Hey, there my name is Keith Venus, 39 years old I live alone with my assistance dog who helps me on so many levels, her name is Reiko (Rey- koh meaning blessings it's a Japanese name for females) she helps me when my knee seizes up, helps me to keep moving when I struggle on stairs, when shopping and bags are loaded with more weight, and she aids throughout the hospital trips that I have a lot of. years of health struggles have got me to a point of need for this particular one, 16 months old Type one diabetic with this makes things stereotypically diagnosed, for my knee, doctors had stated that it was due to my diabetes, even stating that its growing pains (what in one leg???) years later now at 39 the same issue persists. Causes instability, and wearing down of footwear soles mainly on this side, it also causes distrust of the leg, trips and falls, and pain (which I cannot use painkillers as they are no longer effective and cause side effects when used) They gave me steroid injections (which messed up my blood sugar) made me limp way worse for 7 weeks, and the pain never ceased, they can't do MRI's due to having metalwork in my body. I have cartilage shrinkage causing its very own pains and limitations and a slipping patella, I have been doing physiotherapy for 3 years and there is no change, coupled with muscular atrophy it's causing a lot of struggle. I do a lot of walking, both my assistance dog and I, we have done charity walks for cancer, diabetes and bone cancer and a digital walk of Great Britain (the next was meant to be for dementia). I use walking as my therapy and this has steered me clear of a lot of things, like I mentally get to walk past all that plagues me. Doctors are looking at doing surgery, to shave cartilage but it could get serious with risks that can lead to amputation (recently lost a finger and they took the entire thing) the issue with amputation is then I cannot walk, for therapy or simply in walking my dog. I have been told not to run as this could cause snapping and have to opt for knee replacement. I got a lot of second opinions, as well as doing a lot of research and asking questions. get this the price the surgeon gets for the surgery is they would get same as this knee brace!!!! I looked at so many versions but this company "Springloaded" have supported me with questions and guidance I tested a friend's although it didn't fit well as they are custom measured and created and I pursued the company myself. The idea of the brace is not like knee support which I have tried is numerous and no longer an option, this device will enable me to strengthen my muscles above and below the knee while allowing the pressure to be far less affecting the knee patella itself. The goal is that I would like to run again like I used to, move and transition like I used to and eventually with this tool/ device drive unaffected. This can be worn over or under clothes and has a lifetime warranty. I am eager to get walking and running again, using my bicycle without concern this video is an illustration of what is capable of using this knee brace, relief from pain and restriction. My deepest struggle is with all the hospital visits I have weekly working is the toughest, I long to do a videography and photography business the struggle is crouching, and staying in positions for long periods, this brace will open so many opportunities as well as prevent many others of course with your help this can be achieved.
