Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I want to ask you to join me in support of a cause that is so close to my heart. As some of you know, I am part of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Five years ago, I had the privilege of meeting Bri for the first time as a 14 year old. I vividly remember the moment she stepped into the cafe I was nervously waiting at, walking behind her Mom and our case manager; sweet, a bit shy, and full of kindness. She instantly captured my heart and I knew she is my sister forever. Now she is 19 and in a very difficult time in her life. Just two weeks ago, Bri lost her beloved Mom, Sandra, in an unexpected and shocking turn of events. For Bri, this loss is devastating. Bri and Sandra were each other's rock, and Sandra played a crucial role in her life as her sole loving parent, friend and breadwinner. Her passing has left a big void and many complications. As we navigate through this challenging time with Bri, I am asking for your support through kind donations. Bri had a plan for her future after graduation - to work, save money, and put herself through college. She has been diligently working towards this goal for several months, but now she finds herself struggling to make ends meet on a daily basis, let alone think about pursuing college. I believe that the funds we raise together can help her address her immediate needs and provide a fresh start for her college dreams. The included picture is a moment from our recent Big Brother Big Sister graduation ceremony, where I had the honor of standing alongside Bri and Sandra. It has been an incredible experience having Bri in my life. I deeply wish for her to achieve her dreams and fulfill her potential. I wish for her to have every opportunity to become who she came to this world to be. Bri has a kind spirit, incredible artistic talents, and a beautiful voice. Her love for animals is evident as she cares for nine pets, some of whom she fears she may not be able to keep in her current situation. I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and for joining me in supporting Bri during this trying time in her life. Your contributions will make a difference, giving her a better chance to overcome the challenges she faces, eventually move out of her Mom’s friend’s house who has kindly welcomed her for a time, and enable her to plan for her future. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your love, compassion, and help. With much love, Nazli
