Hi, my name is Matt Macioch, and I’m raising funds on behalf of the Bernal Family, who’s 11 year old son was involved in a tragic accident in Levittown, NY. On July 7th, 2024, Andres was riding his bike when he was struck by a vehicle, leaving him in critical condition. Andres was airlifted to Cohen Children's Medical Center, where doctors discovered he had suffered numerous skull fractures, a broken femur, wrist, rib and internal organ damage. As of July 8th, 2024, Doctors have performed one surgery to re-construct his femur but have mentioned his future mobility is in jeopardy due to the gravity of his injuries. These funds will be used directly to support Andres’ recovery and his family during this difficult time. Andres’ mom, Claudia, is a children’s school teacher who will not be able to return to work for the time being, as the period her son will remain in the hospital is unclear.
