Our sweet, beautiful, kind, daughter, sister, friend, and girlfriend, Alyssa Jo Vadas (19 years old), suffered a hemorrhagic inter-cerebral stroke late Friday night (July 28th) just after midnight and was rushed by ambulance to Valley Hospital surgical ICU. She was bleeding in her brain, had severe swelling, and is still suffering from a large blood clot in her brain. She underwent emergency surgery on Sunday (July 30) where a portion of her skull was removed to relieve the pressure on her brain and attempt to save her life. She is currently sedated and undergoing multiple tests each day to assess her brain and vital life signs. Once she is out of the hospital, she will need physical, speech, and occupational therapy. Anything you can do to help our Alyssa during this fight for her life is greatly appreciated.
