I ask you to just read this... My mother is always one to put others first and giving before taking.Some of you may know that growing up we were always taught to work for your own money. We were taught that things are never just handed to you. This is a great lesson my parents have always taught us. Today I am not listening to my parents. I ask for donations because my mom Susan is sick has been for total of 2 years . She had a 7inx7in tumor in her ovary but it was borderline ovarian cancer it was close to a mucosal cancer (VERY RARE) it sticks to organs and multiples at an excellerated rate. The tumor grew to that size in less than a year. She started swelling in her stomach, she had a colonoscopy because they thought it was her intestines. She was alerted they found something. She needed a CT Scan, she had one and they found the tumor, within a week she had a full hysterectomy. She did not need chemo but she felt wrong about this-just an instinct...you know? SKIP AHEAD She started getting symptoms again. Similar to the exact same thing previous. Stomach swelling, blood pressure lowering, thyroid losing function. She needed to be off her blood pressure meds then put on thyroid meds.She started to not be able to eat, everything she tried to ingest water, medication-everything- came up. She went to the doctors her Cancer markers were higher then before her last cancer. They suspected the same thing. This was not supposed to happen the likely hood of this cancer coming back was 1 in a million. They did another colonoscopy, but couldnt complete, there was to much swelling, she needed to go in for surgical scope she also had an endoscopy while sedated ( scope down the throat). They found nothing in the biopsies of her Small intestine,large intestine, colon or her esophagus. NOTHING! They did another CT Scan, they found masses on her omentum(fat layer of stomach) it consists of a mesh of lymphnodes blood vessels and fat). So a biopsy was scheduled. Then she went in they biopsied, the sm. intestine, lg. intestine , gallbladder, they drained the fluid-she lost 10lbs. They said they found NO sign of cancer. All results were normal. Fluids gone she had some relief after weeks of no food, she finally ate. She was still in a lot of pain. The doctors were baffled. The fluid came back in less then a week, broke open her incisions and . Where is the fluid coming from? We don't know , After a dozen X-Rays, multiple CT Scans, Scopes, Blood Work. They put a drain in . So that she can get releif from the pressure. I do not know what lies ahead. The doctors are so lost, they have multiple doctors working on her. She was admitted to Mass. General for the best team in the region to work on her. Ive been here for 4hrs and she has had 3 samples taken from her, 2doses of pain meds, 2 of nausea med, 2 anxiety she is a reck and is FINALLY Sleeping. She seems relaxed and calm. She is strong and does not deserve this. I wish i could help her but until now it's tests and the only relief is going to be a long term drain for her to do at home. They are sure she ahs Cancer we just can't find it. All they can do it run tests and rule things out. I am asking for donations as She can not work, The medical bills are sky high previous to this visit my fathers work has changed multiple insurance companies getting worse as they change. After the loss of her father, mother and sister in law in less then 2.5yrs it is a stressful time, I want to do something not only for my mother but for my father as well. I do not ask much even if you give just prayers. I ask that you share this with anyone and everyone. To make this known. Maybe someone will have an idea of what is a matter with her. I want nothing more then for her to be pain free and cancer free problem free I DON' T CARE! For her to see the Connor and Darrick her grand babies without having to refuse to pick them up would be a blessing alone. She is only 49 and has many more years and grandchildren to see! Any donations will be going strictly to them and nothing else. I wan't them to be able to see the ability of hope in the endless spiral of medical bills, and visits to this hospital. Parking in Boston is alot even with validated parking. She will be coming here for any and all treatment in the future. Please pray for my mother. I do not know what else to do, but finally break down and ask for help.
