Jim and Marguerite Stroede lived the life they made together in northern rural Wisconsin, raising seven children in a home full of love and learning. Marguerite was an RN and homeschool teacher, and died two years ago from complications of lupus at age 55. Jim was an electrician, fishing guide, and hospice chaplain, and just died August 4, 2024 of cancer at age 58. Their children are ages 12-26. Jim & Marguerite focused on the meaningful things in life and devoted their time to togetherness and their passions. Their family was enormously wealthy in love, meaning, and joy. With their passing, there is no remaining household family income to support their minor children. The Stroede kids are strong and capable with dreams of their own, but in the midst of unimaginable loss, the burden of financial responsibility will be challenging. This fund has been created to support an Education Trust set up for Linnea (12) and Violet (16,) who still need to finish high school and set aside funds for college. The older Stroede kids are caring for their younger siblings full time, and this fund will also support direct living expenses in the coming months and years. For a family that has lost so much, please consider helping in memory of Jim and Marguerite. If you prefer to send a check, it may be made out to Lucia Stroede and mailed to P.O. Box 188, Spooner, WI 54801.
