This page was set up to help with medical expenses for Sonya and her family! As you know, Marc Brous and Sonya were married for just 9 days, and after spending their honeymoon in Jamaica, Sonya returned to the U.S deathly ill. Her organs began to fail, she coded and had several heart attacks. After fighting for her life for many hours, she was put into a medically induced coma, put on life support and transferred to Omaha. She does have brain activity and has responded to doctors commands. Doctors have given the family positive vibes and hope, but also cautioned them that this is not a sprint, but a marathon. As you can imagine medical expenses are mounting. Marc has been unable to work and has not left Sonya's side. Sonya has two daughters and a husband, along with many family members, friends and supporters who love her very much. If anyone can pull through this, it is Sonya Aupperle Rising (Brous).
