Hi, my name is Lorena Oliveros I'm 37 years old and a single mum. I want to first help raise awareness of Breast Cancer and Bone Cancer. On the 14th of July 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast and Bone Cancer. Grade 2, Triple 0. I have since discovered that the Breast Cancer I have is not hereditary in my family and it's not hormonal and it is quite rare as I am still young. I think it is vital to bring awareness as when I first noticed symptoms which included electric shock sensations on my breast and then after I self-examined, I noticed a medium size lump on my right breast and straight away I contacted my GP. I would never have thought it was anything so serious until the doctor told me I had to urgently be seen by the breast clinic to get a biopsy. I am still in shock about the news of my diagnosis and in disbelief. My family are with me and helping me fight this. My 5-year-old keeps asking me why I have to go to the hospital so frequently. Since being diagnosed I have gone back and forth to the hospital with many tests including biopsy, MRI scans, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear bone scan radiation and genetic blood tests to check if it has spread further. As I desperately wait for doctors to start chemo treatment, I have looked at other private treatments option available. I have already started IV Vitamin C Treatments privately. With increasing costs per dose from £400 onwards, I will be needing 2 doses per week for a minimum of 5 months. My diet is now strict and has to be organic which is an ongoing costly expense. I want to fight this distressing disease and know there is so much more to life. I feel every life experience has made me ready to face this with strength and a positive mindset. I am grateful and will get through this for my daughter, family and friends. I will be consistent with the treatment that will work for me and continue to bring awareness. Thank you for reading my story and for your support and donations are truly a lifesaver and greatly appreciated by me and my daughter.
