Hi, I'm Lana, Stacy's friend, and I'm helping fundraise for her, here is her story. In 2011 Stacy was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Her life expectancy at that time was less than 5 years. Having exhausted all other forms of treatment including IV therapy, Stacy has now developed an inoperable tear in the pulmonary artery. This week she will be put on the National Data Bank for both heart and lung transplants. Still not sure if she can go home at all or not and may have to stay in the San Francisco Hospital until organs become available. If the tear ruptures, her prognosis is fatal. Stacy has been told an estimate of $25,000 is needed for misc costs. She will spend 2 to 3 weeks in the hospital, so housing for her daughter Nicole is needed in San Francisco. Stacy will have to stay within 5 miles of the San Francisco hospital for 9 weeks for daily hospital visits. Stacy will need assistance when her daughter has to go home, so her sister in law with the need to be flown here from Florida to care for her as well. Stacy had been a fixture at the Old Mill for years while it was open, her service and infectious giggle are unforgettable! She has proven her strength and will to live by beating the odds this far. Thank you for anything you can give to Stacy to help her with this life-saving process. ❤️
