Dear Friends and Family, As many of you know, I was adopted into the Williamson family from Haiti when I was six years old. What many of you may not know is that I have three younger sisters—ages 12, 15, and 18— still living in Haiti. Over the years, my parents Shane and Jana have worked with me to try to provide for my sisters in any way that we can. Together we have continuously sent money to my Haitian family for such needs as food and medications as well as sponsored my sisters for their education. In 2013 my family even helped me raise funds to rebuild my birth mother’s home after it was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake. Through all this and more, my family has worked tirelessly to bless and support my biological sisters in Haiti. We would like to extend an invitation to help support our mission. With the situation in Haiti rapidly deteriorating, it has become unsafe for my sisters to stay in the country. At the request of my birth mom, we have gotten my three sisters their passports and are currently processing their humanitarian visas for emigration to the States. As this sponsorship will be a lengthy process, we are raising funds to help support them in a group home (run by the same doctor who facilitated my own adoption) while they wait for their visas to come through. They will be outside the city limits, safe from the dangerous gang violence plaguing the country’s capital, while continuing their studies, learning English, and refining skills that will prepare them for successful assimilation in the US. Monthly funds are needed for stipends to cover these and other living expenses in the interim with total costs amounting to $400/month per girl—$1,200/month cumulatively. I have set up a LFEBridge page for my request, and I humbly ask for donations from anyone willing and able to help me (any amount is appreciated whether it is a one-time donation or a monthly pledge). Additionally, checks and donations can be made out to Jana Williamson. Please feel free to contact me or my family for any additional information, requests, or questions about our mission. My family and I truly believe that God is calling us to help my family in Haiti. I have been fortunate to be able to support my sisters for almost 10 years now, and all I want is to give them a safe and secure environment to learn and live life to their fullest potential. We are close to finalizing their move to the US, and my family and I will do everything we can to see my sisters through this process safely. With this, we thought it appropriate to share our mission on the chance anyone else would like to chip in support at this time. Thank you so much for your time and attention. May God bless you all, and please keep Haiti in your prayers. Sincerely, Jazmin Williamson
