Being completely unaware that you were sick and enjoying life like a normal healthy person, until the hospital visits became a regular thing. The abdominal pain and heavy bleeding wasn't normal and it came to stay. Went back and forth from the hospital and was referred on to another team of doctors - on the 11th of May , I was given the news that I was diagonosed with cancer in the uterus , and ther was a large mass growing on the right ovary that looked cancerous as well. The best thing that they recommended was to have an operation and have the whole hysterectomy , and also to have the large mass removed ASAP. Being far away from my family and receiving news like that was probably the last thing anyone in my shoes ever wanted. How can I tell my mother who is battling cancer herself that I was sick. It was a tough call and we had the operation on the 9th of June. I was awaiting for further tests to come back with high hopes that it would be clear, on the 26th of June the results came back. I needed to undergo 6 cycles of chemotherapy amd that costs will be over 10k. It has been a struggle mentally, physically and financially. I am grateful to God for good people that has been there for me physically since the beginning of this journey. My family has been surporting from back home and praying for me, and it has has given me courage to keep fighting, friends have reached out through supportive messages and people have held my hands to encourage me. Your donation could help me go through chemo and may give me a chance to still be alive and see my family again. My name is Milika Taufa , and this is my journey and battle with cancer
