Mission's trips change lives.  People come to know Jesus, and the Church body becomes closer.  Blessings abound, and we get just a taste of what Jesus' ministry might have been like 2000+ years ago AND get excited for what's to come when we're all together in heaven. We get to know another culture and the people who are part of that culture.  We get to share hugs and smiles, all while making a difference.  Little things become big things, and the human touch becomes divine.  In 2014, part of my family got to go to the Domincan Republic together for a week on a mission's trip that we will never forget (see pictures below).  Some of us get to do it again!  But we still need your help.  A few months ago, when talking to my family about the possibility of going, I didn't know if this was God's nudge or simply my own desire.  But that's often when God's glorious work is seen the most powerfully.  Our family has been through some deep waters lately: separation, reconciliation, amputation, and financial stress to name just a little of it.  We know that life on earth is a journey, not a destination, so we'll never see perfection this side of heaven; but we have seen some significant healing as a family, and I believe this trip could be another significant part of even more healing.  We could gain a whole new perspective and purpose as individuals and as a family! Our biggest obstacle is the finances as most everything else seems to be falling in place.  I am asking you to consider doing two things for us.  First is prayer, but unlike the usual request(s) for prayer for a mission's trip, I would ask that right now you would specifically pray for God's will for OUR FAMILY and THIS TRIP to be made clear.  Obstacles and doubts could be from Satan, or they could be closed doors.  Please pray that we find our way through this with HIS wisdom and guidance.  The second thing is, of course, finances.  We are so close, but still not where we need to be.  If you give, you are not just supporting us, you are partnering with us to share Jesus with the Dominican people.  Would you consider being a part of this?No matter what you decide or how you support us, we are always grateful that you are a part of our lives, and we feel it's a privilege to come to you with this need.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us most any time (although the middle of the night might be a bit awkward...!).  If you are still reading this...thank you!  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
