I have humbly created this LFEBridge account on behalf of my sister Aimee. She is currently struggling financially as her long term disability, from her former employer, has recently been denied. Unfortunately, her symptoms of Lupus are so debilitating that she is unable to perform everyday tasks without pain, lethargy, dizziness, visual disturbances, and difficulty processing information. Due to these symptoms she is unable to work, let alone return to her previous position as a Physicians Assistant. Her long term disability was recently denied as the individual in charge of her case, who is not a medical doctor, said her symptoms are due to Anxiety and Depression and NOT her Autoimmune Disease. This has been devastating to find out that her physical symptoms are being disregarded as mental health issues. That is not to say that her decline in physical health has not negatively impacted her mental health, but her current symptoms are systemic and visibly notable (malar rash, mottling of skin, painful fissures of fingers, painful vasospasms of hands and feet, etc). Aimee is a single mother of 5 beautiful children and does not have a spouse to help her pull the financial weight. As most families are experiencing hardship during our current economy, so is ours. My parents have helped tremendously with her financial situation, draining their savings, and will do so until the shirts off their backs are gone. It is by humbly placing pride aside that this account was created. We have a strong faith and know that ultimately God will provide. If you are also struggling financially or are unable to donate, your prayers are more than welcome and greatly appreciated. Please pray for my Sister’s healing and that her health be restored.
