I've had the pleasure of getting to know this woman over the past few months. Her resilience and strength is inspiring. I wish I could do more for her. But this fundraiser is a good start. Anyone of us can end up in her situation. Please take the time to read her story and if you can share or donate it would go a long way. Marco Aguilar "My name is Antoinette Gaggero. My good friend Marco Aguilar helped me set up this fundraiser. In May 2024, on my last day of college, I was diagnosed with Stage 4B Cervical Cancer. I had a mere 15% or less chance of survival. I fought the cancer and it’s in remission for now but has left me struggling emotionally, physically, and financially. And because the original cancer was discovered so late stage, I still have a less than 15% chance of surviving past 2025. I am a Brown Indigenous, queer, non-binary woman. An Artist and civil rights and social justice Warrior and a certified mental health peer specialist. I fought hard to protect our water and land at Standing Rock in South Dakota in December 2024. I have served as a mental health provider and an advocate speaking to make mental health wellness support accessible to everyone. It’s tough for me to ask for help. Yet, I’m my bills are mounting and I now have no other choice. So here I am. Please will you help me surmount the seemingly unsurmountable? I thank you for your consideration. And already feel so grateful for the help I have received so far. Meeting my fundraising goals would help me cover food, bills, gas, and other expenses I’m struggling with weekly as I try to take care of my physical and emotional well-being. Any donation is appreciated❤️
