Hello everyone! My name is Alan (Michael) Gregory. This month, ten years ago I landed my first job in “corporate America.” Shortly after joining my team, I met one of my co-workers/teammates by the name of Cynthia Crowell. She was a very kind woman, who was loved by many and respected by all. Her presence was felt every time she was near and her smile could light up the room. I knew immediately that she was one of my favorites, but I had no idea at the time that she would turn into a lifelong friend. There was many things that attracted me to Cynthia. I loved her sense of style, that she was a hard working, strong, independent woman with a genuine soul. One of my favorite things is the way she said whatever came to mind, but her delivery was always graceful. She is definitely a “lady,” (even down to the way she eats slowly, with small bites) and that is another thing that I admire about her. She actually shares many characteristics with someone else that I admire, which is why I gave her the nickname, and refer to her as my “Beyonce.” I also appreciate that even as a young, wild and free 21 year old, she never once judged me. Instead, took me under her wing and always kept it real with me, while pouring her wisdom into me (which I hold close to my heart.) Unfortunately, my dear friend has reached a trail and tribulation in her life where she is up against a battle with cancer and various other health related issues. To the point where she has been unable to work for a year and it having an impact on her physically, mentally and financially. Which is what brought me here today, sincerely asking each of you to please help me, help Cynthia. Any support would be greatly appreciated, but if unable, prayers are cherished, and simply sharing this to others could mean so much. Out of all my accomplishments over the years, “Beyonce” always makes it a point to acknowledge how much I have grown and how proud she is of me. I would love nothing more than for this to be a success and help her substantially to the point that this is the proudest of me she has ever been - but I can’t do it without YOU!
