At the end of 2024 Jon took a job in North Carolina that seemed the obvious choice for stabilizing our family finances, following 3 years of speculation and investment in another venture. Those entrepreneurial efforts brought us to a point where a full-time position seemed the best alternative. After 8 months here, the position was not sustainable due to down turn in the company's revenue and Jon's position was eliminated. Our transition here has not been the restart we envisioned and the abrupt ending of this position forces us to consider our alternatives. Our opportunities, networks and friends are in Florida where for 15 years we thrived and raised our children. Getting back to our roots and community now seems the best alternative. But the cost of our move here, a shortage of opportunities for Kim's full-time employment here, have kept us on edge, financially. Our options for recovery back in Florida are already in motion with good prospects for both of us. Much to our embarrassment and humility, we are now in dire straights and face some serious problems far beyond anything we ever imagined we would encounter. Timely action is required. We need to raise money to make the move as soon as possible. We are not relying solely on the kindness or generosity of others. To reach our fundraising goal, we are both continuing to work part-time here until the move and we are having a comprehensive moving sale. This goal represents the total we need to raise to keep this move from further impacting our other expenses and daily living needs and to land in the best place to take the next critical steps to restabilize. We humbly and respectfully turn to our friends and family for any support to make up the gap.
