Our friend’s daughter, Shelby, is an absolute sweetheart. She likes boy bands, tattoos, animals, and energy drinks. She also has NF1, and about a year ago she began her battle with a rare and aggressive soft tissue sarcoma. After a surgery to remove a malignant tumor (along with a good chunk of her shoulder), months of radiation, and a painful recovery, Shelby recently got the news that the cancer has metastasized to her lungs. The prognosis is not great, and while there’s not much we can do to fix this for our sweet girl, I am hoping we can all rally around her and her family to help with associated costs (loss of income, medical costs, maybe something special for Shelby).
