There are times in life when we may face an overwhelming set of circumstances that leave us feeling that we have nowhere to turn. Times like that, after doing all we can and all we can think of; we turn outwards-to the community to lean on the compassion and generosity of those around us. Yesterday, a dear friend disclosed the impossible position she and her family have found themselves to be in. This go fund me page is being set up for our good friend Gail 'Lessler' Fleming and for Joe Fleming, known to those who know and love him as "Joemamma". Joe is a husband, father and grandfather, as well as a veteran who enlisted two times to serve our great country. Joe has been battling cancer and in the midst of his treatments, he suffered a terrible fall which left him with his femur broken in four places as well as a broken hip. After an extensive 7 hour surgery, Joe's leg and hip were repaired but his recovery will be long and arduous. In the meantime, he is unable to receive his much needed chemo treatments. The surgical wounds need to heal before he can resume chemo. In the midst of all this, Joe's insurance has run out and the VA is unwilling to help him because it is not a service related issue. Joe's rehab alone is almost $200 a day and he and his wife Gail have completely exhausted their savings. They are in need of a financial miracle so that Joe can get the proper treatment and on the road to healing. To those who know Gail and her family, those who have shared a long history with her, know that Gail’s normal currency she deals in is Love, Prayers and Loyalty. To all those reading this, please consider sending her and her family prayers/positive vibes as well as sharing this. To all those who are able to dig a little deeper; please consider sending her some much needed Financial relief so that Joe can get some of his most basic needs addressed while he and the family continue focusing on healing. Anything you can send would make a major impact on their current situation and would go a long way for keeping their spirits up and their Strength and Faith unbreakable. " I get by with a little help from my friends "
