Hello and thank you for your time. My name is Chuck Cervello and I am the coach of the 2015 Shadow Hills Knights Jr. Midget Team. Our team is a diverse group of eleven to fourteen year old student-athletes who live and attend school here in the Coachella Valley. I have had the honor to coach many of the players for the past several years. We won the Super Bowl Championship in 2013 and earned a berth to the American Youth Football (AYF) National Championships in 2014. This year was also highly successful, as we finished the regular season undefeated and improved our two year record to 19-2. Our team was priviledged to have been ranked 3rd in the Nation. Based on our performance and the hard work of the players, we again have the very unique and special opportunity to compete in the 2015 AYF National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida. The team has received a bid to attend and we are the only team in the Coachella Valley to have ever attended the AYF event or compete at this level. The AYF Nationals are the largest youth football championships in the world. Each year about 150 football teams compete for a title. The tournament brings athletes from across the United States together and the experience is about much more than playing in a couple of football games. Many of the most significant moments we have with the players are centered on character building and forming a strong moral foundation that they can apply off the field in their everyday lives. The game of football teaches many life lessons, but the experience of traveling and participating in this event is really an incredible opportunity. Getting to meet and associate with players and staff from around the country offers great exposure for all involved. The ability for the team to participate in these events are dependant entirely on the support of the community. Many of the players and their families simply do not have the money or resources to pay for this kind of experience. In reality, most of the players have not spent much time outside of the State of California, or even the Coachella Valley. The Players, Coaches, Parents, and Board Members are asking for your help. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. We are a 501(c)3 Organization, therefore donations are tax deductable. We have created a budget with associated costs and it can be made available for review upon request. We will also complete a detailed report, accounting for all of the money spent on this trip upon our return. The break down is approximately $1,350 a person to cover all costs. These costs include airfare, lodging for 8 days, ground transportation, food, attractions in the Orlando area, and other miscellaneous expenses.  Please, I am personally asking for you to take the time to make a contribution and help some of our local kids, and our future leaders, achieve this goal and gain this valuable life experience. Thank you for your time and I hope to speak with you soon. Coach Chuck Cervello
