Friends & Family, My name is Oliver Guerra, I have the pleasure of serving as the president of our St. Edward’s University Men’s Club Soccer Team. The Club team cultivates a wonderful community for students at St. Edward’s to build friendships, nurture a family environment, compete in the sport we love, and represent our great institution across our region and country. As Club Sport athletes, we are challenged with a full workload of school, jobs, and extra-curricular activities, and oftentimes we need the support of friends and family to help us experience the great opportunities being a member of a club sport presents.This season, we entered a bid into the NIRSA Club Soccer Championships hosted in Phoenix, Arizona and we’re excited to announce that we were selected as one of 24 teams to compete for a national championship. This promises to be a great opportunity for our athletes to travel across the country to play against some of the best club teams from other universities around the nation. We are very excited to represent the Hilltop and our friends and family in this championship.This opportunity comes with a cost. In order to make the trip, we are looking to raise funds totaling $3,000. We are asking that if you are able to help, please consider making a gift to the Men’s Club Soccer Team in order to help us make this trip possible for our athletes.
