In 2017 I started having some serious medical scares. I would overheat, suffer from debilitating migraines, and have episodes where I would lose consciousness. These symptoms have progressively gotten worse over the years. In November 2024, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, or POTS for short, by the Cleveland Clinic after years of not knowing what was going on with me. POTS is an autonomic nervous system disorder that does not allow my heart rate and blood pressure to stay stable and causes the loss of consciousness and dizziness. I am currently unable to live on my own, cannot work, and am unable to drive due to the symptoms that I am experiencing with POTS. It was recommended that I look into a service dog to help me reintegrate myself and get the confidence of going out by myself without having to worry about my symptoms setting me back. My parents and I have been looking for a while for a service dog company or training facility that would help us find a service dog that would be able to help me with this. After a long search we have found Azani Pro Training! They have been extremely helpful and after a sit-down interview with their trainer and owner, they are willing and optimistic on training a service dog for me. The trouble now comes with the cost of the service dog and training. It will cost $15,000 for the service dog to be specifically trained to meet their expectations and to meet my specific needs. The $15,000 is needed in full before the service dog will be given to us. It is a lot of money for us, and I would be so grateful for any help that is provided for us on this journey.
