After coming back from a weekend retreat in upstate New York, InterVarsity students at Wagner College are on fire for the Lord and desire to continue to serve Him! InterVarsity, a national Chrisitian organization with thousands of chapter plants at colleges across the country, is a relatively new installation at Wagner College. Three years ago, a loosely-organized, non-affiliated Christian fellowship group existed at Wagner, with a sporadic attendance of three to five students at one Bible study. Today, under the guidance of InterVarsity, the Wagner College InterVarsity chapter is growing and thriving! We have a combined total of approximately 30 active students, who attend monthly worship nights, one of four weekly Bible studies, bi-semester community service projects, and biannual leadership retreats. We have a passion for ministry and evangelism and are eager to continue to encourage spiritual growth at Wagner. In order to gain the skills we need to be global leaders, we are trying to raise money to attend Urbana, a five-day student missions conference in St. Louis, Missouri. As we stand at the crossroads between college and "the real world," the conference will provide us with direction in our journeys, encouraging us to explore options for our future with God at the forefront. Currently, we have six students registered (Praise God!) and a few more interested, but due to our tight college-student budgets we are seeking financial support for registration and travel expenses. Any help we receive will go directly to students-in-need seeking scholarship to attend this transformational conference. We thank you profusely for your support of our growing campus, and global, ministry! For more information about InterVarsity, please visit their website at: intervarsity.orgFor more information about Urbana, please visit their website at: urbana.org
