Family, Friends, Brothers and Sisters from far and near, I need your help. The Lord has confirmed multiple times through His Word and from people in different nations, to do the School of Biblical Studies (SBS), in Hawaii, at the University of the Nations. SBS is a 9-month long program that studies in depth all the books of the Bible, its context, culture, history, and the character of God throughout. I’ve been accepted into this program, for this Fall of 2024. However, I need to prove all of my finances by the end of this August, to apply for a visa. The tuition is 12,085.00 USD, which is 15,985.43 Canadian. The tuition covers education, accommodation, food, and flight expenses. Your contribution to help is not merely financial; it's sending the labourers into the harvest, where the labourers are few. The contribution is planting seeds to the furtherance of God’s kingdom to know Him and to make Him known. There is a larger scale here and I humbly acknowledge that. There is a passage, where Jesus sees a multitude and He’s moved with compassion for them because “they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:35-38) As some of you may know, I went to do Discipleship Training School with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in Australia for 7 months. I just got back home, in March. Since I’ve been back, I work full-time as an Early Childhood Educator for children who are deaf. Needless to say, even with working full-time, I still need help. I was very reluctant to ask for help because it was such a big ask, and frankly, I became scared - scared to enter the wild west of the unknown. Yet in all of it, the Lord has confirmed this call countless times, I need to be obedient to what He has said. Even if it's against all odds. I felt the Lord say to me “Janelle, you are not the body, you are a part of it. You are not meant to have it all together, that’s why I’ve made and called different people to come together as one to help one another”. These verses kept coming back to me to meditate on: 1 Corinthians 12:24-26: “But God has put the body together... If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” Romans 12:13 “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Thank you for taking the time to read this!
