My name is Chaya Tova Goldstein starting October 8th I will be walking across Israel 683 miles/1100KM for this beautiful cause. my parents established Camp Machanayim in Israel thirty-seven years ago, so I was “born” into Summer Camp. I witnessed Camp when it was being created and developed. My anticipation of “Summer being just around the corner” was so much more than just the “end of the school year”. It was Camp Season! Camp was what I looked forward to all year, every year! I am twenty-seven years old, and I still find myself sharing with my friends funny, memorable stories and cool experiences from Camp. I made beautiful connections that I cherish until today. To such a great degree, solely because of what I experienced and learned in Camp, I’ve laughed, I’ve grown, I’ve faced many challenges, I’ve shared my fears, disappointments, joys and accomplishments with others – it’s a big part of who I’ve become who I am today! I am so grateful for being blessed with magical summers. Over the years, I watched so many of my friends not be able to come to Camp and have those same magical experiences. So, I want to do something real and meaningful to change that sad fact. What if you and I can make a real difference? The Camp Machanayim “Send a Child to Camp Fund” provides Camp Scholarships for Machanayim’s Day and Sleepaway Camps in Israel. These scholarships support children whose families cannot otherwise afford to give their child such an uplifting, confidence-building, joyful camp experience. It is funded solely through donations and gives Machanayim the opportunity to build the leaders of the future who otherwise wouldn’t have this opportunity. YOU CAN CHANGE A LIFE
