Scotty needs a prayer and his family needs help. I have struggled to discuss Scotty’s cancer lately but we desperately need our community. As most of you know, Scotty has stage 4 Adrenal Cancer and has been undergoing chemo for the last few months. He will begin his 4th round this weekend. Last night Scotty had a major scare, something I feared from the beginning.. an adrenal attack. We were rushed back to Boston where Scotty was treated and is being cared for. His energy is so low, he has no appetite and he recently started losing his hearing. We have been trying to remain positive and focus on the good.. but it hasn’t all been rainbows and sunshine. We have drained our bank accounts to pay for tolls, gas, hotels, out of pocket medical bills that seemed to be deemed a luxury and recently we lost our home. We found a temporary place to stay in NH but unfortunately, we had to pay the lease upfront since we are out of work. We are left with almost nothing. We are exhausted, drained and scared for our son. I am embarrassed to ask for help again but if I don’t.. I’m not sure we can realistically afford to continue treatment in Boston. Anything helps. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for our family. Everyone who has reached out and everyone who has shared our story. It means the world to our family.
