Hi everyone. This is a desperate call to help save a part of our family. Our 1-1/2 year old family dog Ginger escaped from our yard on July 4th in a panic due to all of the fireworks. She was struck by a vehicle about 3 blocks from our home. The person who hit her managed to get her into their car and take her to an emergency vet, even paid over $600 to start treatment on her. Unfortunately she will most likely lose her front left leg due to nerve damage from the impact. That is the easy fix. She also has a punctured lung that seems to be stable. But the big concern is that her back legs don’t seem to be working due to a possible spinal injury. We are ultimately hoping that it is just inflammation/bruising/swelling that will subside over the next few days. But the need for an MRI or CT scan are a possibility. And the daily care just to keep her 24 hours in the emergency vet is nearly $3,500. We just bought our first home and then after 3 years of pregnancy struggles, we decided to use IVF to have our second daughter. The combination of all of these things seems impossible to manage all at once. We are hoping that with enough peoples help, we will be able to save Ginger’s life. As very prideful people, this is incredibly hard to reach out like this. We are hoping that with enough small donations, we can turn this tragedy into something positive. Thank you for your consideration. With Love, The Affleck’s
