Hi, my name is Nicole. I am fundraising for my dad, Francisco Solorzano, and some of you know him by Poncho. Over the past 10 years he’s been battling diabetes and neuropathy. After several visits to the doctors, several medication’s and several attempts to get this neuropathy under control it hasn’t happened yet. Luckily, we were fortunate enough to come across a Doctor who was able to see my dad out of net work which we paid out-of-pocket for to get an evaluation. He asked my dad several questions as well as did several tests on him. What we found is my dad‘s body is in crisis mode. His neuropathy has gotten so bad he is facing amputation of both feet and possibly a few fingers on each hand. As most of you know my dad stays with me and participates a lot in the activities that we do with the kids, which are his grandchildren. Losing his feet and hands would mean I would have to care for him full-time, which would also take away from my kids being able to play with grandpa. This doctor that we found is outside of his net work, so insurance will not pay one cent for it. He will provide my dad with in clinic and home therapy over the course of 2 years to regenerate the circulation and try to rebuild the nerves that are severely damaged. He has a long road ahead of him but I’m willing to stand beside him and help him along the way. Last thing I want is to see my dad lose his freedoms. I just need help getting there. So if anyone please, friends or family could even donate $1 we would be more than grateful. Even just a share would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read!
