Hi my name is Sandra Dee Castro, many of you know me as Sandy. I am a fun, loving, caring and outgoing woman who loves her family, her dogs, and living life. Those that know me know that I loved my job, however, my health started to decline right at the peak of my career. About 3 years ago I started to experience complications with my leg. I was feeling numbness and circulation issues, as well as losing feeling in my left leg and foot. Throughout this time, I have had 7 operations that have not helped my situation with my leg. The very last operation that I had almost killed me as they did a 5 vein bypass on my leg on June 5th. Once home after the June 5th surgery, I fell on my face and still have some bruising around my eye. I ended up in the hospital again for another 10 days because my wounds were getting infected. I have a nurse that comes 3 times a week to change the dressing to my wounds. The recovery process has been and still is very brutal, but also very emotionally & physically challenging. I have been officially out of work since January of 2024 and my unemployment benefits have been exhausted. The hospital bills are piling up left and right, also the bills in my home that I no longer am in a position to contribute to as I have no means of income at this present time. I am scheduled to undergo yet another surgery, and I am being advised that the copay alone will be over $2k. The pictures are graphic, but this is my present daily situation. The Drs are doing all they can to save my leg. Please if you find it in your heart to donate, no amount is too little, absolutely anything helps!! I don't know what else to do but to come forward publicly and ask those that can, to please help me through this very trying time in my life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and all your help!!
