Hi, my name is Sydney and I'm starting a gofund me for my son Ryatt. Ryatt had a neonatal stroke while still in utero and while he was in the NICU the doctors had told me that the right side of his body would most likely be affected due to the nerve damage on the left side of his brain that was caused from his stroke. So far all that has been affected is his right arm and hand. We've made multiple trips back down to Denver and have had follow ups with his neurologist and hand specialists over the last 2 years. I'm asking for help because he still is unable to grab his sippy/rounder objects with his right hand because his right thumb is for the majority of the time stuck in the "straight position". We got a referral from Ryatt's neurologist to see a pediatrix physiatrist to get botox in his hand to help loosen the muscles and joints in his hand so hopefully he will be able to grab rounder objects with his right hand. I'm a single mom and I'm trying really hard to make ends meet but the whole procedure is going to cost me 6,000 dollars to get it done and I'm the sole providor for my son so I'm asking for help from our community because I'm having a hard time being able to afford the procedure but want to do everything I can to help my son. Any donations will be used to put towards his medical bill/travel exspenses. Prayers, good vibes, donations, anything is greatly appreciated. Update: He's got an appointment on October 16th to see a CP specialist to get the botox in his hand in Utah.
